Lab tests and diagnostics

Badavet’s in-house laboratory means many test results are ready during the same visit; for anything else, we work with specialised external laboratories.

What we treat

Lab tests and diagnostic tests help complete the clinical examination: they provide objective information about your pet’s general health or about a specific issue being assessed.

In the clinic itself we have IDEXX equipment for haematology (ProCyte One), biochemistry (Catalyst), urine sediment (SediVue Dx), rapid SNAP tests, and inVue Dx for digital cytology, so many results are ready during the same visit.

For tests that cannot be carried out in the clinic, we work with specialised external laboratories, including IDEXX Reference Laboratories and Citopat Veterinaria, depending on the test needed.

When it is recommended

The Badavet team may suggest a lab or other diagnostic test, among other reasons:

As part of a general check-up or preventive screening.

When symptoms call for more objective information.

Before surgery or a procedure involving sedation.

To monitor an ongoing treatment or a diagnosed condition.
